As I read it in two different newspaper articles, he just wasn't happy with pro baseball. I suppose the money was right, but he didn't like the idea of working up through the minors in half empty stadiums, but that is just my guess.

Its too bad he's already played pro baseball, he could have been a real asset to Troy on the mound as well. But still, now we have someone that can step up, be a leader, and we can look to the future of the program with him. I'm very confident this guy is as good as advertised.
