Nelson has said that the schedule is finished for next year, but he won't say because it could change before Feb. which is when he offically releases it.
Try this link: <a href='http://www.inside99.net/NCAA/future_schedules/future_schedules_home.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.inside99.net/NCAA/future_schedu...edules_home.htm</a>
I can tell you in '06 we'll have LSU and Houston on the road.
I saw months ago that UCF was scheduled to come here next season. I'm not sure that is the case anymore.
Next year's schedule is being kept very secret by the administration. My guess is that we have a couple of 1-AA's on it right now which could be why they don't want to say.

That would not be so bad. I would like to see us (SBC teams) schedule more games against the WAC, MAC and C-USA.

I've been thinking the same thing, I think it would give us a better chance to win more out of conference games than playing teams like LSU and Texas. I heard FIU is trying to schedule a home and home with Bowling Green, that would be cool.

If I were a good football player and was considering coming to UL, I would take a long look at who I would playing aganist before I would commit . We don't need to be humilated by LSU or Texas again anytime soon. I think it a really good idea if we played teams in the WAC, C-USA, or MAC.. We need to play a good team like Marshall, Toledo, Western Michigan, Kent State, Central Florida, and others.
But It would not hurt If we played a SEC team like Vanderbilt or Kentucky once in a while either, but not teams like LSU , Ole Miss., Auburn or Florida.
As for the schedule for the year 2005, let the big boys keep it a secret and see how many good ball players you can recruit.
I read in today's Newsstar in Monore that the head coach at ULM has already offered 15 of the top recruits in notheast La. scolarships to play for him next year. Boy, they have great ball players up here this year, especially at WM.

Things can be crazy sometimes, I guess. I just read that we get started with playing Texas the first game of the 2005 season. WE also play Tulsa. The rest of the schedule is up in the air so far.

The cold facts are we need to play these games (at least 1 per season) for the money we make off of them. Yes it would be nice to play Kentucky instead of Texas but just like we know our chances are better against Kentucky they know that also and would most likely be less inclined to schedule us than Texas would. I like the move of playing Eastern Michigan and Tulsa, both are 1-A programs from the MAC and the WAC, conferences (along with C-USA) we should be on par with. There will always be a Texas type game on our schedule, the key is to get our team better (give us a better chance to win) and get our attendence up so we only need to schedule 1 of these games not 3 or 4 (see Arkansas State this season).
