As far as I know D.T. is still going to be third. They moved another freshman QB (Gary Banks) to the WR position after D.T. reported to camp. Banks would have been third. However, Blakeney has made comments about D.T. seeing some playing time early, so that means he isn't going to be red-shirted. So heck, if you've got a blue-chip and he's not red-shirted you may as well get your scholarships worth right? I think he'll begin the season at third and who knows how he'll finish.
GO TROJANS!

I bet your right, if Leak struggles early McDowell will and should get the call to see what he can do.
