LAFAYETTE — Unless someone steps up soon, UL’s running back position will once again be a committee operation for 2004.

That’s not altogether bad, if the Cajuns can churn out 150 yards a game on the ground with a variety of players sharing the load.

But if it means no one is ready to be the answer, that’s another thing.

Senior Dwight Lindon is one part of the equation, and the former Comeaux High star would welcome the responsibility of leading the way. But he also knows the squad has several capable backs.
