 Tornado warning for six hours. I don't expect you to know meterology. But you have a tornado watch once a week in the summer. That just means conditions are right for what could be a tornado. I'm sure that kept away about 20 people.

We don't talk smack because frankly most of us are beyond the point of caring. Akron is a convenient rival every winter when you can go to the JAR to get a great seat because it's always empty.

My best smack about football are my two signatures.

Quote: If they showed a shot from the bottom of the home stands up you would have seen that the home side was about 5/8 full.

It was EMPTY from every shot, just a sea of blue. Even the announcers were making fun of the attendance and commenting on the weather being good enough for a MAC double header. It was in the 50's, dry and cloudy. Weather is an excuse. Your casual fans won't even come out for a team on TV and incontention. Spin all you want, facts are facts.

Your not listening man, what shots did they show? Did they make it a point to show the people who were there? My guess is no. How do I know this? Because I WAS there. I know it was not simply a "sea of blue" and I know approximatley how many fans I saw.

I hate to join a pointless argument because whether it is 8,000 or 12,000 it still doesn't do the Zips or anybody else any good. But for perception purposes, everybody around the country saw what we saw on TV. It did not look good and did not help Akron, Ohio or the MAC as a whole. Frankly, it doesn't matter whose fault it is. It won't look any better on Thursday.

Quickzips,
However, you are a great smack talker. You conveniently ignore any point you are beaten on. You must be taking cues from OSU-Michigan fans this week. You didn't respond to my point about the weather nor my signatures.

Ok you want a response to the weather. I know of plenty of people who were scared off by the forecast alone. Hell I couldn't even find someone to go w/ me til the last minute. The response I kept getting was "I don't wanna get sick sitting out in the rain and cold. The weather says its gonna get real bad tonight." It didn't. Their loss. Not mine.

And as far as your signature goes. Congrats to Cribbs. He made it off the street as a rookie free agent as returning kicks. Charlie was a 3rd round draft pick, got a bigger contract, and is getting a HECK of a lot more media attention. That alone is going to pay dividens for Akron in the future. I frequent a lot of the NFL boards and Browns boards in praticular. There have been a lot more posts regarding Akron football on there lately now that Frye has come to Brownstown as the percieved franchise savior. It will only be a matter of time before that spark of interest starts generating fans in seats. Overall though, I guess the Cribbs/Frye debate is gonna come down to one thing. Comparing their careers. Talk to me in 2020 when both of them will likely be retired and tell me who has done better. I really don't care all that much about what is going on this year.

QuickZips, let's face it, the only reason you're here is that the Akron forum is dead dead dead and you're lonely.

Your dimwitted diatribes are quite amusing to us so do keep writing.

And you believed them! Honestly, QZ, there are some things you shoudl keep to yourself. Like, we don't really want to know why you couldn't get a date to the prom due to the weather.

Your not making any sense man. What does a prom have to do with a football game?

If you are trying to imply that I'm a desperate looser who can't find anyone to go with your wrong. I've had a group of at least 4-5 with me at each game. That regular group is the ones that didn't want to go because of the weather forecast. I'm not really sure what your trying to claim here.

And KStud. As many Kent fans have told me in not so many words over the last few months. If your gonna talk smack at least know what your talking about.

What did I say that was wrong? I answered your question that I haven't read zipsnation and frankly don't care to. I hope we aren't your only friends. As you can tell, our level of caring about this game or your football program is pretty low.

You implied in your first post that the Zips board is dead. That may be true if you look at the Zips board on bbs. But Zipsnation.org has been busier than ever. That's all I meant by the if you wanna talk smack at least know what your talking about comment. Also, I can't help but wonder why you are responding to me if you don't care at all about what I'm talking about. And if you guys were my only friends I would probably have a serious need for some therapy.

For crying out loud QuickZips, lighten up. Why do you think they call it a SMACK Forum? I don't know how many friends you have and couldn't care less. I was just razzing you, man. As for Zipsnation, never heard of it. If it keeps you Zipper types occupied, great.

Don't take it so friggin' personal. Seems like you can dish it out but you can't take it.
