i have a question about hoops recruiting, well 2 questions:

1) When is its big signing day?

2) Does anyone know of any guys we have offered? In football we can usually come up with a list of about 35 guys who were given offers, but in hoops none of us seem to have any clue. Is this year any different?

Early signing date for basketball is usually the first Wednesday in November. I think that makes it November 2nd this year. As far as a recruit list, didn't scout.com or rivals.com have a prospect search that you could do by school. I recall doing that for football in the past, and there was a basketball option as well.

If you look at those sites, not a lot of data.

"Signing day" conotes that the players a team signs actually were recruited by more than one top 300 program. There's no suspense when your head coach is scouring tape of the third string varsity at Pekin High School and otherwise making trips to New Jersey or Texas to land distant relation to Mugsy Bogues or Spud Webb.

The "not a lot of data" is probably indicative of the current state of our men's basketball program.
