This guy was a loser. I met him several times, and he had no idea how to market a team. Let's hope that somebody decent is brought in to promote out programs. We need a bigger radio network, some TV games, some coverage in the local papers, and promotions to shake people's apathy off in the community.

I also hope that he is no longer the voice of Kent sports. He was not that good at PBP.

"Classy Kyreem Massey, He tries it, and buys it!"
That was the kind of shlock I had to listen to in college.

Yeah! It's about time. This guy seemed as small time as you get. He should go work at Walsh or Hiram. Any word on who might be replacing him yet? Hell, I thought that undergard marketing majors or MBA candidates could do a better job as a class project than what they were "paying" someone to do.

What a great time to bring in new blood. He could not do play by play because he never understood that by going from the goal line to the 50 yard line, you are going UP the field and from the 50 to the goal line you are going DOWN the field. I never knew which side of the fifty we were on.

I was afraid that this move would NOT happen.

Maybe this means that they are serious about promoting KSU sports and will really make an effort to meet the new 15K requirement for football. Anyone know what their plans are beyond increased student participation?

I too am glad to see Sefner go. He was unqualified for both of the positions he held and undervalued the quality of our sports programs with his work.

As an announcer, he was third class at best. He was horrible at calling a game, many times I would be left wondering if a KSU player had made a shot, been fouled, charged, etc., having to wait for what seemed like an eternity for the correct call. Not to mention the nicknames. I was almost glad to hear that Mike Perry was ineligible at the beginning of last season, knowing I wouldn’t have to hear Mike “The Tower of Power” Perry again.

As a marketing director he was the worst in the MAC. The numbers don’t lie. KSU is number one in booster club support in the MAC (alumni and fans keep up the good work). But, we rank dead last in corporate sponsorships. I believe the previous stat has just as much to do with Sefner’s release as his sub par work behind the mic.
