Who is going?
How hard is it to get tix of scalpers before the game????
Do we have a chance in h@ll of winning? I think this will be the game that gets the nation to notice Joush Cribbs.

I was originally planning to go, but now have MBA classes on Saturdays. Will have to tape it to watch later.

I would guess from a lack of interest in the game by tOSU fans that are forced to buy them in packages that you should be able to get them at reasonable prices.

I think that the "Bucks" will be looking to pound a MAC foe. I'll bet Tressel was embarrassed by the performance against the Zippies last year and will stick it to the Flashes if they can. Plus, he knows that KSU is dangerous if you let Cribbs hang around with his explosiveness anything can happen. I wish it could be close, but am guessing at a 21 pt loss. I really wish that they hadn't scheduled this game...

Very good point, Flash.

I think Tressel took the Akron game for granted last year, and the Bucks are lucky they got the win. I remember in the papers how they said Tressel wouldn't embarrass Owens and wouldn't jack up the score. But, when they were up by 14 points in the last seconds of the game they tried to punch another one in. Luckily, our defense held them.

OSU - 28
Zips- 14

Charlie got recognized last year at the OSU game and Cribbs will be recognized too. Coming out of the stadium after the game all I heard was how impressive Frye was - and he was just a freshman.

Now Akron and Kent are rivals, but I hope Kent does very well against OSU. I can't stand them. They are overrated.

On that point, even Flash and Zip fans can agree. I hate tOSU!!!! If everyone in this state wasn't brainwashed into believeing that the "bucks" walk on water, the rest of the D-1s in Ohio would have no problem drawing 15K.

I heard that loud and clear...The Beacon Journal puts the Bucks on the front page WIN OR LOSE...Kent and Akron get shoved to Page 8 with the rest of the MAC scores...with a 4 paragraph recap. I have called that paper tons of times to try and get more MAC coverage (obviously would help and BG alum and fan) and its always "well, the Bucks are the top dog...tough dog doo doo."
I was rooting so badly for MIami in 2000 and Akron last year. I will be pulling big time for Kent...the game will be played and you ALWAYS have a chance. A highly unlikely win by Kent would jack the campus and town up like the hoops teams did...I GUARANTEE if the unthinkable happens Dix Stadium would be jumping at the next home game. All of us Ohio schools (including Cincy) have to look at OSU as the $$$ monster it is...If we want a piece of that pie, we gotta take it from them. Not to mention being the 1st Ohio college team to beat OSU since Buchtel College did in what? 1894? Akron fans help me out on that one. BTW, new logos look good and the unis look alot like the Rams...cool digs.

BG gets its 3rd crack at Ohio St in 2003...we will have a veteran team that has some big wins on the road already and, well, we gave them a hell of a game in 1992 and as a 3-8 team in '97, hung with the 9th ranked Bucks for 2 1/2 quarters.
I feel very strongly that BG will be able to play with OSU next year...and grab about $450k in the process,.

Both Akron and Kent need that one big name win to get it going...Akron almost beat Va Tech a few years ago but lost a close one at the RB...

Both these teams have talent and solid coaching (most of the MAC does!). Living in the Akron area (Green), I wasn't too happy when BG was announced moving to the West...I dig those 10-25 minute road trips. BG as Kent on the road in Nov.
We have lost 2 outta the last 3 in Kent...we will be coming off two home games (very important I might add) with WMU and Ball St. The Kent game starts a 4 road games outta 5 to close the year...followed by @ NIU (a very key West game for both) @ a very solid South Fla., home finale vs EMU and at ut....not easy at all.

I hope either Kent or Akron wins the East...that way if BG wins the West, The MACC game will be in my backyard.

Anyway, beat OSU and lets get it going! GO BG!

I am planning on going to the Washington State University at Ohio State game. It should be a very good one as WSU will have a great offense and Ohio State will have a great and fab. defense.

WSU 33
OSU 28

Response to AkronObsessed: Ohio State with the last of their bench in the game drove to within the five yard line with a minute and a half left in the game. On first down they tried to run it in and Akron U. stopped them. Tressel then signaled in to the QB to end the game there a take a knee. The QB did that twice and the game ended. I still have a tape of the game. I am an Ohio boy,I love Ohio football and I am a big fan of the MAC and hope that they keep improving. I remember how in the late sixties and early seventies the MAC teams used to dominate the southern teams like Clemson, Florida and Georga Tech. in the old Tangeriene Bowl. I will be rooting for Ohio to beat Pitt and I hope the Bobcats can kick their butts.
