There are a lot of CMU fans that are very, very happy to see Bowling Green back in the West. I know that has already been said on this and other boards but I just wanted to get in my two cents as well. It means we can get back to playing each other every year and a lot of us up here are looking forward to renewing the solid and regular competition we used to have in football. I can remember some great games between the two universities and I expect more of the same in the future. We hope to give you one hell of a game in Mt. Pleasant on the 12th.

I will always remember the BG CMU game at BG in 1994 (yes, the fat punter game)

I remember CMU's fans and the noise they made and those pompoms...it was unreal

I HATE the thought of going to smelly shorts stadium this year, but I hope we can pull it out.

Just think, MF! We'll have had an extra week to fatten up our punter... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

...then again, you might need to worry more about our lean punt-blocker! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" />

I have a ton of respect for the CMU program...this BG/CMU series is very close (BG leads 18-16) and is usually a great game. Its great to be playing the Chippewas again every year and I still love that nickname..

CMichFan...keep your eye on #17, Keon Newson...the guy has blocked two punts this year already. C ya in a week...let me know where you'll be tailgating so We can hang out. We'll be in town on the 11th so if you're gonna be out that night, let me know. This is where we're staying the night....any advice about game day would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, "best" can also be used as a verb, so the current name works just fine! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

MF: I'd like to think we're just a TAD better than OU. The Bobcats got shut out and pounded by a I-AA team, for cryin' out loud! Besides, this will be OUR Homecoming crowd, we've had an extra week to prepare, and you'll be playing on turf. I don't think yesterday's win for you OR CMU's last loss can be taken as serious indicators. For one thing, both our teams apparently play better at home.

Well, CMichFan, I must admit I am worried about this game because I know that we rarely beat CMU in Smelly-Shorts.

I do think that the only team that can beat us is us. IF we are oin our game, watch out.

AVG SCORE 50.75 to 18
