Blue Raiders have squandered two halftime leads
By Adam Sparks
DNJ Staff Writer

For all the benefits of a halftime break, the intermission has taken more than it's given to MTSU this season.

Through two games, the Blue Raiders have seen their only consistent drop-off in play after halftime, as momentum has been sucked out of the team with two lackluster third quarters.

"I don't think it's a huge concern, but it's definitely something we have to correct right now," said junior nose guard Jeff Littlejohn. "We have to learn how to come out of halftime with the mentality that we're going to finish strong. We were up by a lot going into halftime last week (in a loss to Florida Atlantic), but we came out too flat."

With just two games under its belt, MTSU has outscored its opponent in every quarter but the third, where the Blue Raiders have been shut out by a combined count of 28-0.
