I want to make sure that EVERY AP POLL writer with an e-mail address hears from me.

BG is clicking no doubt about it and they will get even better, but this was not an indication of greatness. Ohio is a very hard team to use as a measuring stick. The real score sounded like it was 44-14. Ohio gave up at half time and BG was trying to think of ways not to score.

Two long runs and a TD from the 4th RB. A late hit out of bounds penalty ON Harris. O & D coordinators leave the box and give play calling to others. This was a strange game to listen to on the net.

I don't think the whole team quit. There was a few that kept fighting. BG just was that much better. Yes BG ran basic plays most of the 2nd half. BG has been doing this all season.
BG has out scored the oppt. 50.75 to 18 this season.

Florida played Ohio in a monsoon, then won in another at UT but lost at Ole Miss?? Northwestern gets hammered by TCU and Air Force then sticks with Ohio State?? Just a bizarre year.

You just can't compare scores of games and figure who is better or worse--it's the old MAC habit of comparing losses--"We lost to Big 10 team x by 14 and you lost to them by 23, therefore, we are better!" Or we vbeat a team worse than they beat a team..it's meaningless-nobody will remember how close the BEarcats came to beating buckeye. It's now just another buckeye win.
Every game is different--the intangibles, for example in OK-Missou, the history, the emotion etc. are a lot different than BG-Missou. However good BG may be this year, they are a blip on the national radar until they beat a ranked team. And they need to beat somebody ranked above them to lay claim to have a shot at moving up the ladder very far. Problem is, who is on the schedule that gives them that credibility?
