I never put much consideration into pre-season rankings because I see how little the pollsters know before the season begins after some time has passed. Remember Penn St. the first year in forever they finished with a losing record. They were ranked pretty high until they started playing the games. How about Kent State's basketball team who went into the NCAA tourney unranked and finished in the elite eight getting #12 in the AP poll. How many MAC teams were listed in any pre-season mag's top 40? If I remember right MUg was picked @42, UT @46, and WMU @50 in the one I saw. The point is don't get worked up over what a bunch of clueless idiots thiks.
