I found this board after browsing on the ESPN message boards as someone posted a link on the Kent State board. It seems as though there are quite a few members here already, which is good. I would like to keep up with what's going on with Kent State athletics besides actually visiting their webpage and this looks like a good place to start.
I competed in track & field (200 meters, 400 meters) for the Golden Flashes from 1996-2000. I was also the volunteer sprints coach for Kent State the past 2 years. Most of you may not know that we won the MAC title in 2000 (but our team is STILL waiting on our championship year banner in the MAC Center). I know this board is mostly for football and basketball, but I'll try to bring in some of the small-sport flavor here after experiencing it all for the past 7 years at Kent State.
I've recently moved to West Springfield, Massachusetts as UMass and UConn are 30-min away from where I am. I noticed that Kent State will play right down the road at UConn this fall in football so it should be exciting to go.
