I just love that little piece! The 30 that are making money are making a LOT of money! NO $#!T
They get all the tv money and bowl money!!!! How the hell could they NOT make money??? I'm still socialist enough to think the NCAA should be looking out for ALL it's member schools, rather than just the "big boys". Divide the money up just the the bbal tourney...to everybody. Get rid of the damn BCS. Pull the plug on conferences locking up 6 and 7 bowl appearances if they play .500+1 I don't disagree that perhaps some schools would be better off financially at IAA. But the rationale ticks me off.

Are you all serious? I gripe about the BCS system too, mostly because I would like to see a playoff. It works fine for 1-AA and the silly arguments against it are just that.

To say we don't have the same opportunities is ridiculous. Look at the history of college football and how the landscape has changed. Harvard and Yale used to be the top of college football. At one time Notre Dame was able to secure a VERY lucrative TV deal as an independent. Until recently, Florida, Florida State and Miami were average.

Why would the BCS voluntarily change what is to them a very lucrative system? Because it's not fair to the lower tier conferences? What the hell is this, Russia?

The opportunities are right in front of us, we just need to make the most of them. By scheduling and hanging with (win some/lose some but being competitive every time) the better schools consistently, we earn respect. Pissing and moaning about how "unfair" it all is isn't going to get us jack dooty and rightfully so.

Oh screw that blow hard.

He hopes MAC schools drop down and strengthen I-AA?

Baloney. He hopes MAC schools drop down. That way, if a playoff ever comes, chances are less likely the BCS schools will have to lose any moolah.

What the heck has this Cedric guy done to strengthen I-AA? What incentive does any school have to go down there?

None. What they ought to do is eliminate the Division I split.

What the heck was wrong with Division I as it used to be? Why did they carve it up in the first place?

Answer: What are now BCS schools had to share too much money with too many other schools.

The BCS schools are much richer now, and they are still taking aim at the weakest schools.

The NCAA probably has 1,000 members, and this blowhard is only concerned about 62 of them.
