From the Beacon Journal Today:

BLEACHERS' DEMISE -- The bleachers on the east side of Dix Stadium behind the visitors bench were torn down over the summer, and that space will remain unused this season. The sections, which seated about 4,000 of the stadium's 33,000-seat capacity, were used for students and visiting fans. The university plans to construct new stands there with enclosed suites. Construction might start during this season, though the new seats will likely not open until next year.

Please explain "enclosed suites". If can not believe that it is what I visualize as suites. Where did you hear this?

I didn't hear this. It is right out of the Beacon Journal online article today:

I am curious as to whether they will be a permanent looking concrete structure or a crappy high school bleacher type structure. Maybe they will have renderings at the statdium this fall.

Seats erased:

Kent State has lost 5,412 seats in Dix Stadium as the bleachers on the east side of the stadium have been removed to make way for new aluminum bleachers, possibly before the end of this season. The lost seats reduce the capacity at Dix to 25,108.
