How do you think the Flashes defense will perform this coming season?

You better hope they perform against the Zippies!

There are some teams I do worry about but Akron will not be one of them.....They had a lot of luck the passed two years but luck want help you in 2002.

60% of it was Kent choking in pressure situations..and not finishing off games.

25% of it was great coaching and decision making.

10% of it was determination and the will to win.

I kinda see Kent as a darkhorse this year. Flashes finished 6-5 last yr and this Joshua Cribbs is awesome...+ 8 starters return on a decent (anything is better than Kent's usual invisible defense) D. Finally, Kent has stability with Coach Pees signed thru, what, 2005? they aren't firing coaches every 3 years anymore. If anyone, and that includes my BG Falcons, takes Kent lightly, they'll pay.

I see Kent finishing 4th in the MAC east behind Marshall, UCF and Miami, and a possible 7-5 record.

I like your 7-5 and fourth place but I'm also an optimist this season for Kent so I say Miami had better look out and I believe they will steal one more 8-4..This is going to be their year to take that game that comes down to the wire and somebody needs to step up....I believe Kent year is going to give the Flashes that motivation.

PS..(Correction on prior post last line) Sorry, I meant to say that the way Kent played last year is going to give them that motivation to win that close one. Thanks.

Cheers to you for your optimistic attitude...Kent has been so miserable for so many years in football. All of Kent's other programs are at or near the top of most standings. The BG/Kent game worries me cuz we'll be coming off two important West Games at Perry Stadium vs. WMU and BSU. We have lost 2 outta 3 times at Dix in the last years so we better be ready. Congrats on you baksetball team success (losing 3X to you guys in the last 2 seasons ain't easy to swallow <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" /> .
