Guys, I just talked to one of the assistant coaches. We have two scholarships yet to offer for the Class of 2003. So far, we have a commitment from 6-7 PF Justin Blevins (Marion) who's been playing very well this summer.

Our priority is to sign a five to replace Chris Kaman in a couple years. As expected, CMU target 6-10 Kyle Visser (Forest Hills Central) is starting to attract some Big Ten attention (Illinois). Viss is a now considered a longshot for CMU and WMU. He also has an offer from San Diego St. and is being pursued by Tom Crean at Marquette.

6-10 Kirk Walters (Grand Rapids South Chrisitan) has not committed yet, but it's a close race between CMU and WMU for his services. All indications are he will decide between the two rivals.

CMU would also like to bring in another athletic wing guard/forward to join preferred walk-on Marcus Moore (Mt. Clemens) - namely Eddie Spencer (Muskegon Heights) or Whitney Davis (Ann Arbor Pioneer).
