First time poster.

What happens to many of our players?
James Battle a stud linebacker Freshman last year is no longer on the team.
6 of our recruits are not on the roster.
What happens to these guys?
The Zips.com page tells you about players signed, but when they disappear you don't see anything.
I am also a big Buckeye fan.
Their different sites always tell you what's going on.

Does anybody know what has happened to these players?

Name the players that aren't on the roster and I'll try to dig up something.

If you compare the signed list released in the spring, with the current roster, there are many players missing.
I'm sure some are prop48, others may transfer, but why no mention?
This makes it hard to follow a team when players come , and go but no mention is made of it.


There are others also.
These are the only ones I'm questioning, because they were all rated highly when recruited.

I'll try to find some info on those guys, but I know off the top of my head Geoffrey Beauschene (sp.?) quit. This guy was an idiot the first day he came into camp, and supposedly got into a lot of trouble, and ultimately either quit himself, or got kicked off the team altogether.

Same class, Jesse Smith, Bobby Hendry, Bryan Shaw, Jud Cummins, Bates Szakos, Matt Cherry, Micah Fahler, Marques Hayes, Mike Brake.

That is our senior (or red shirt junior) class. They've helped, and the guys who tanked have hurt us. Ten defensive players gone out of a class of 25 total.

Hmmmm....not the greatest results, but some have been pleasant surprises.

Wish the others were able to be here now to help.

Missing picks! Mostly on defense!

Exactly what I mean.
What happens to all of these players?
I don't think other teams have this high a rate of defections.
I'm sure there are some prop 48, some injuries, etc.
But this is strange. Owens has to do a better job of recruiting, and retaining players.
