Now that I live in Massachusetts, I was at the game today since UConn is only 40 min from where I live. It was nice to attend a Kent State game being so far away from Kent now. With that aside, I simply could not take the beating anymore after being down 49-0 at halftime. The Flashes did not get past mid-field the entire first half.

Cribbs can't pass...bottom line. All of his passes were low or too far from the receivers...and most of them were 5-10 yards away.

I felt robbed, paying $20 for general admission to see this sad display. It was interesting to see Laing Kennedy stand right behind the players and coaches after it was 28-0, almost to let them know how disappointed he is in them.

I don't know how a team and program can be this bad. Their not just bad, but pathetic. Do they need a new coaching staff? Isn't this done every 5 years? Unbelievable......

You did get robbed!
This team has given it up. The offense gives up a million points, and the defense then has way too much pressure on them.
Same old same old.
Bag another season.
Bring on hoops!

Why would anyone pay to see Kent and Akron U on November 23? :snore:

Maybe because they are loyal fans who support their teams through good and bad, the ups and downs, the highs and lows?

Naaahhhh!
The dump will be empty. 03-lol
This is bad.
Not that we aren't used to it!

Flashes football this year has been unbelievably disappointing. Just like every year, there are a few very talented guys but never enought to sustain any consistency.

I almost feel sorry for Josh Cribbs that he even came to Kent.......

Let's be honest, it is very difficult to recruit kids with any inkling of talent to come to Kent with the history of this program. I hope it gets better but I honestly don't see any improvement until Kent drops to Div I - AA.....and then who will care?

I don't know, I hate to be so pessimistic but it's very frustrating when the school as a whole has a wonderful Athletics Program and is continually judged by its football program. Although with the success of the Hoops program the last 5 years it's gotten better.

I mean look at Duke....their football program is crap but does ANYONE judge them for that? NO....hell, people probably don't even realize they have a F-Ball program.

Oh well, looking forward to Kent Hoops....Go Flashes!! :withstupid: :withstupid: :withstupid:

KSU fans:

Sorry if you thought you were robbed. UC wanted to close Memorial Stadium on a winning note. The 63 points are a new record (it broke last weeks 61 points). Truthfully, I was watching the game from the 'skybox' (aka The South Parking Garage) cooking ribs and burgers.
Anyway, I have to say if Cribbs was healthy, I think it would have been closer. You did one thing that nobody did to us in the fourth quarter, score 21 points.
See you in Kent next year. I'll be there rooting for my Huskies!!

Didn't realize that this was a 1-1 and UCONN would be coming to Kent. Anyway, you will probably be able to get any seat you want because you will be the only one there... :D

This will be a big event, getting a fan there and everything!
Maybe we should issue a press release, get the media involved.
Somebody tell the concessions people we'll be needing a hot dog that week, maybe a popcorn and a couple of cokes! Can someone print up a program?
How much can we charge him for parking do you think? This hasn't come up before and I don't know if we're ready for it!
