Stephen Hawking said there are two ways to deal with being proven wrong. One way is to continue to defend a defenseless position. The other way is to admit publicly that you were wrong. Every single one of you son's of ******* that said 1) the fix was in or 2) the call was blatantly wrong owe both Marshall and the officials an apology. Not that we're ever gonna get it. But, screw you all. You were wrong and you damn well know it.

BTW, this post is not directed at RF, Dodo, DevilGrad or several other folks who thought it was a bad call. Hey, I thought it was a bad call. It's directed at the vitriolic bastards like Oddball. So help me god, until he and WMU whomever issue a formal apology to the officials and to Marshall University, I will link this pic in every single post I put up. I encourage all Marshall fans to do the same.

I don't think that photo is of either of those last two interference calls. If I remember right no Miami player knocked the ball away on either of those plays as this photo shows.

ESPN showed it in slow motion, and didn't see any interference. End of story.

I'm going to go ahead and move this over to MAC Smack talk -- I'll leave it up to Dodo/CMichFan to move it back / edit what they don't feel is acceptable.

The brick you see in the background is the facilities building. The facilities building is located behind the endzone toward which Marshall was driving at the close of the 4th quarter. So, the picture had to have been taken in either the 2nd or the 4th quarters. Marshall's only play into the end zone in the 2nd quarter came on an out pattern to Brandon Carey to the left side of that end zone. The ball in the picture is being thrown to the right side of the field and that was where the "controversial" call was made. #82 in the picture is Josh Davis. He was the receiver Stan Hill was throwing to on the "controversial" call. #9 in the picture is Alonzo Hodge. He was the defender on the "controversial" call. The touchdown that Stan Hill rushed in was Marshall's only score in the 4th quarter. The only other end zone play in the 4th was the attempted pass to Darius Watts. Except for those three plays, no other Marshall plays in the end zone occurred in the 4th.

Any other comments to demonstrate your stupidity Bronco?

Know it doesn't add too much to all the furor, but I'm reminded of what a former D.I. (Drill Instructor / Drill Sergeant) told me before I left for Ft. Sill, OK to start my military service. He said, "There's two things you can't argue with. One is a D.I., and the other is stupidity." I frequently find it absolutely amazing that, even after almost 30 years, I continue to try to argue with stupidity. What an enormous waste of my time, efforts and physical health. 03-banghead
