I realize that the posters on these boards in no way represent the majority of the fans at our respective boards, but if any of you guys have ever checked out the C-USA message board from time-to-time you'd know that there are a number of very cocky Louisville fans over there. Well, the disappointment that has been this football season is beginning to wear on even the hard-core UL fans over there, and their posts are filled with comments like "I don't know any UL fans planning on making the trip to Mobile"; "the bowl is mid-week and too hard to get to", "UL will be lucky to take 2-3K fans" and, by the way, "the herd is gonna clean our clocks just like the MCB a few years back".
Well, I guess I'd agree that the Herd will whip them big-time, and I suspct ticket sales to UL fans will be very disappointing, but the UL fans have a pretty dedicated fan base and I suspect 5-7K of 'em will show up in the end. I would guess that Marshall will have more fans there, although the locals in attendance would likely root for the C-USA team.

A would suspect that the locals will be rooting for the Herd because of familiarity. Last year, some USM people did come over and root for ECU. Obnoxiously drunk arseholes that cussed MUg the for 3 quarters (they left when the Herd began to get close). Did I mention there were a 3 year old, 9 year old, and my parents in their 60s sitting there?
Locals support the game pretty well. The problem last year was once the lead for ECU got HUGE, they figured it was over and left. That left about half the stadium empty.
