The Akron football preview is posted at CFN. The only problem is that when you click on Akron, it takes you to the La Tech page. In order to see the Zips preview....click on "has all 11 starters returning on offense."

That is a pretty accurate picture of the Zips...Akron has a very explosive offense and if the D can come around....look out.
I pick the Zips as my darkhorse in the East for 2003.
GO BG!!

For once I'm somewhat pleased with CFN's preview of the Zips. It's very in depth, they actually have the correct new logo(lol I know, but some websites -sporting news, COUGh- still have our logos from almost 3 years ago).
It looks as if CFN actually did some research...I'm pretty happy with it.

I was impressed as well. Sounds like they did some good research on the team...it was a lot more in depth than I expected. Usually MAC teams with the exception of Marshall and Toledo are overlooked during this time of year.
I can't wait for the season to start! It's gonna be a great year for Zip fans!

I'm praying that the same thing doesn't happen to the Zips that is happening to my Cincinnati Reds.
Everyone thought it was the Reds year, Griffey was in the best shape ever, and they started off with a great spring season. But as soon as they opened at Great American Ballpark everything started to go downhill. Griffey and Larkin are both out and they are 5-11.
Worship the football Gods and pray for an outstanding season

Thats really a shame for the Reds...investing so much into Griffey...just to have him injured.
Speaking of injuries, I'm looking for GREAT things from Dan Basch, because he was doing awesome until his injury against WMU.

Dan had a nice game against Iowa (or was that Maryland?). Him and Barbee will have a great year helping each other @ the FB position.
