RECAP....
One week after Antawn Randle-El
became the first player in college football history to rush for
for 3,000 yards and pass for 6,000 yards, another Indiana player
made history.

Senior running back Levron Williams rushed for a school-record
six touchdowns as Indiana shocked Wisconsin, 63-32, in a Big Ten
Conference contest at Camp Randall Stadium.

Williams gained 280 yards on 20 carries for an average of 14
yards per carry, helping Indiana (1-3, 1-1 Big 10) score its
most points since 1924 when it defeated Rose Polytechnic, 65-0.

The Hoosiers scored early and often, posting 32 points in the
first period. Williams scored three times in a span of three
minutes to give Indiana a 20-0 lead with still 9:32 left in the
first quarter.

After Indiana ran just seven plays from scrimmage, Williams had
TD runs of six, 56 and three yards.

Williams, who needed 80 yards to reach the 2,000-yard mark in
career rushing, broke Anthony Thompson's previous school record
for touchdowns in a game. Thompson had five against Northwestern
on October 7, 1989.

Williams was not alone in Indiana's rushing game as Randle-El
rushed for 102 yards on 14 carries. They combined for 382 of the
Hoosiers' 449 yards on the ground.

Randle-El, who had lost his previous three starts to the
Badgers, also set another school record with his 36th career
touchdown pass, a four-yard strike to tight end Aaron Halterman
in the second quarter.

Steve Bradley threw 35 touchdowns for the Hoosiers from 1983-85.

Wisconsin (3-3, 1-1), which was hit with a five-year probation
by the NCAA on Tuesday, turned the ball over five times, which
resulted in 23 points for Indiana.

The 63 points allowed matched the Badgers' highest total in
school history. They lost, 63-0, to Minnesota in 1890.

Indiana earned its first victory since last October 21 at
Minnesota and beat Wisconsin for the first time since 1992.

Thanks for posting that, JJ!

I do have to say (no don't shoot me), I don't follow football as much as basketball. Hence, I've never even been to an Indiana football game.

But, post away! And maybe I'll learn something! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
