University of Louisiana Director of Athletics Nelson Schexnayder has resigned his position at the university. He will remain with the university as legal counsel.

I think he will remain to help find a new AD for UL. I hope we find another AD who is young with some fresh ideas and a strong desire to making this program a big time one.

This could be good or bad?

Im hoping its for no bad reason, and I am hoping we get someone young and innovative that will cater to the students more!!!!!

Well he was liked by most of the coaching staff because he let them do their job without looking over their shoulder all the time. He got along with the community and the fans of UL, I think overall he did his job well. You will hear about people not liking him, but you can't please everyone.
