Losing Leininger for the first two games sux...terrible news about Latkiewicz but its good this condition was detected NOW. Football is still just a game. Grubb? Had major back problems last yr. He is a SR...hope it works out for him.

On the positive side...Kory Lichtensteiger is gonna be a stud O lineman. He has won the starting left guard job!!!

20 days to go...

I guess this is the ultimate irony!

msopher,

Who, exactly, got embarrassed on national TV? I don't think anyone is laughing at the Falcons!
UT? 63-21??? 42-7 in the SECOND QUARTER??? Hmmm.....maybe your offense isn't so explosive after all. But your defense still sux! At least you almost got the score dead right...just the wrong team and game. I remember having to eat crow in 2002 after posting on the UT site about how UT would never stop J5 and Co. After UT beat BG 42-24, rocketfootball made sure my post was brought back up...and rightfully so. If you're gonna talk smack, ya better be able to eat your words if you're wrong. I sure was about that 2002 game.

A 40-24 loss to the best team in college football is hardly embarrassing. It was 37-24 with 13 min left in the game. And for all you UT fans that questioned Omar Jacobs' ability? 24-41, 218 yards, 2 TD's and 0 picks. Jacobs wasn't sacked all day. His FIRST start! This against a defense that allowed a paltry 11 points a game in 2003 and returns 7 starters. BG won't see a defense that good the rest of the decade! I think Brucie better step aside....cuz Jacobs is the real deal. We tried to tell you! But I guess you'll get to see plenty of ole Omar the next THREE seasons!

BTW, Kansas beat Tulsa 21-3 this weekend. UT is in jeopardy of starting 0-2. I know there are ten games yet to go in the regular season but ya gotta admit, that was not a pretty site in the Metrodome.

GO FALCONS!!! 04-rock

I seen the game and your Qb did great, but he did throw alot of short screen passes like UT does, even at that I give him a Very good rating. Just give Bruce his credit!
