Isn't WAVG the Louisville radio station which has been covering WKU? The following appears in this morning's Louisville Courier-Journal:

WAVG gets rights to Hoosiers' sports

Special to The Courier-Journal

WAVG-1450 has obtained the radio rights to Indiana University football and men's basketball for the coming academic year, station president Blair Trask announced yesterday. The station carried the Hoosiers in the past, but last season the rights were held by WXXA-790.

In addition to the games, all 26 IU football and basketball coaches' shows will be aired.

The Hoosiers will open the football season Sept. 2 against Central Michigan.

WKU would be much better off if they could get on 790 in Louisville. It's owned by Clear channel.....

For some reason, I was thinking WKU was maybe on the 1080 station last year in Louisville, it may have been 1450.

When I lived in Bardstown, it really bothered me that you couldn't get a WKU game even though Bardstown station was part of the Big Red Radio network. Trick was the station closed before most games started!

I've caught games on WBRT 1320 (Is that right?, the FM is WOKH I know). One time I was driving through and they didn't have it on, so I called the flagship station in BG and told them, in about 3 minutes it was on.

I used to live in ole Bardstown.

You called BG and got it on? Thats the difference between you and me I always called Bardstown and if you could get someone on the phone they just acted like they didn't know what I was saying.

Just call the same number you call for the Big Red Radio Network.
