Except that Craig James is on ABC now. I'm beginning to believe that it may actually be Disney TV execs that are the true idiots for hiring these guys....
.....but that doesn't let Lee Corse and Craig James off the hooks - they are still idiots.

You know, I used to really like the college gameday when i first started watching it... but, after week in and week out talking about the same teams... (herby is obsessed with the SEC)... I finally had enough... I can't take it anymore... so, I just watch the game, starting at noon when I am not at the game... which has been only once so far this season...
Corso = Idiot
Herby = Bigger Idiot
What is the other guy who does the interviewing? I sort of like him... he seems to be rational... but, still idiots!!!
the only reason i give any credance to Corso is that he goes on, "Smoke This" preseason and talks football and Cigars with General Dave!!!"

Oh yeah...and at 11:16 AM EST, Corso has done nothing yet to disparage the notion that he's an idiot.
Herby is a clod as well....must still be feeling the effects of the BG/OSU game in 1992 when we threw him around like a rag doll. Poor baby...
I actually agree with King Bob! I used to love Gameday...but it's getting less appealing every week.
One minute they actually compliment the MAC and the next rip it to shreds.
Fowler is the only guy with any brains anymore...so it seems.

That goes to show you how much attention I pay to any of these guys. (I spend my Saturday mornings coaching elementary schoolers rather than watching pre-game shows.) Nonetheless, I catch Corso's tired schtick often enough to know that as of right now, October 14, 2003 at 4:00 PM, Lee Corso is STILL and idiot.

I usually listen to Car Talk and play basketball instead of watching pre-game shows.
This Saturday I'm going to a pumpkin patch with my son to stock up for Halloween instead of watching pre-game shows. As we happily pick pumpkins in a DeKalb county field, Lee Corso will simultaneously be filling the airwaves with his idiocy.
I suspect I won't regret my decision to miss Gameday, yet again.

Karl... My approach is a bit different from yours... got cheese and nachos warming up... a cute chick is coming over... got no kids and I have a fridge full of ICE COLD BEER... hang on, lemme chug one... Yet, Corso.. Herby are still idiots!!!
I hate to say it, but when Marshall came to the MAC they had a solid program... and they were ready to step up into Div. 1a I truely believe Toledo, Marshall, Miami could step into any of the BCS programs and do well week in and week out... N. Ill and Bowling Green still have to prove that their programs have longevity... (they have only had 2 or 3 good seasons... If they maintain, then they too can become part of the elite... )
But, it is just plain idiocy to say that these teams, especially the record the MAC has had in its OOC the past couple years... they just hate to admit that the traditional powerhouses are now having to share with the MAC...

Quote:Lee has this delusion that he coached in the Big 10. Lee, you coached at Indiana. Indiana hasn't been a part of the big 10 football scene in any real sense since the 1960's
Actually, Indiana had some pretty good teams back in the late 80's and early '90's. NIU's Joe Novak just happened to be an assistant under Bill Mallory during those years.
And, yes, Lee Corso is STILL and idiot.

If true, you should have taken a picture and sent it to the corporation that owns Hooters(assuming they aren't owned by the same company as TGI Fridays) because he does commercials for Hooters. I am quite sure there is at least one Hooters in Orlando.
Just so I don't forget, Lee Corso is still an idiot.

Found this from the ESPN board and it fits this thread so I will add it.
P.S. Careful if you are at work when checking the link.

From the Rockford Register-Star today:
When it was first announced NIU would be on Game Day, coach Joe Novak responded with two words: "Lee Corso?"
"I never heard him say too many good things about Northern," Novak explained. "He's had great success on TV, but he didn't have much success here."
And you know why he didn't have success?
Because Lee Corso is an idiot.

So what is Lee looking at?
Nothing. He's daydreaming about Orlando in this photo.
Ever wonder how Corso went 4-4-1? He left two games EARLY.
Idiot.

I actually get a kick out of Lee Corso. He's good comic relief on that show.
But he's still an idiot.

I haven't actually got anything to say. I'm just feeling pretty good right now and thought I should contribute at least once to this thread.
Lee Corso is a freakin idiot!!!
There, I said it.
I feel even better now.
BTW, has anybody checked the Miami-Kent score recently? Today is starting to look a little scary.

It figures! Within minutes after I post on this thread, I go down to watch the end of the NIU-BGU game and some hightlights....... and the highlights crew turned it over to the GameDay crew and ..........drumroll please.........
Lee Corso was praising Josh Harris and Bowling Green to death!
Said BGU can play with any team in the top 10-15.
This thread should be revised: Craig James is a freakin idiot!

The proper terminology that fits Craig James would involve getting into the 7 words you use on TV- and I mean all 7.
Meanwhile, with the clocks going back an hour during the night, Lee Corso will be an idiot for 25 hours today.

It's November 10, 2003, at 12:37 PM EST, and, while I didn't watch any college football or any ESPN college football talking heads this weekend, I feel confident that Lee Corso did nothing over the weekend to diminish his status as an idiot.
