Sounds like Felton really has this guy believing he can develop into a world class big man.

<a href='http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050715/SPORTS05/507150435' target='_blank'>Click Here</a>

Article mention that his first contact was at camp at WKU.

If there are other things under consideration maybe, but all the times I met him he struck me as a I'll play anyone anywhere guy. That might change now that he is in a bigger conference.

If we are going 1A in football and are willing to go to GA and play then I think you might see him back in Diddle again. By the way we had a 2 and 2 deal this is the first time we have had them here so we will see him twice more in Diddle! :)

He wanted to play anyone anywhere when he was here, now he can't afford to lose to lesser popular schools, that just will not work for an SEC school.

Isn't Georgia under some type of NCAA restriction or penalty? I think so, and I think that has GOT TO BE hurting his recruiting. Having said that, I'm not sure who would want to schedule his team as an OOC. It isn't a typical "Georgia" or SEC team as one would expect (normal conditions). I am probably wrong on this though.

We've still got two years on the contract after this season.

You know I liked Dennis Felton when he was at WKU. Even though a lot of what he told us was like "coach-speak," all and all he was a class guy and he helped pulled WKU out of the trash heap. I know this is like speculation but I wonder if like Coach Willard before him, if he is starting to regret jumping at the UGA job? Probably after next year everyone will start seeing the real Felton UGA program.

I think he will regret it if he ends up getting fired like Willard did.

Felton has no reason to be unhappy. I think Felton will do a fantastic job at UGA. I just hope he remembers where he got his start. I like Felton and will always be a Felton fan.

Its only a matter of time before he turns them around just like he turned us back in the right direction. I think we will see a significant change after this year.

I have thought this before but never felt it was the time to say it. Anybody else think that Felton could be an NBA coach in the future?

Not really. He was never a great Xs and Os coach....good but not great. He is good with young people . I doubt he would put up with the Million dollar egos.

Felton will do well at UGa.... The Williams kid that he signed and chose to jump to the NBA hurt him, but the state of Georgia has too much talent for him to "NOT" succeed at an acceptable level.

Give him a couple of more years and he will be giving the UK and the Gators all kinds of fits in the SEC.

I don't think Felton would want to schedule an annual home/home series with WKU after this initial contract is over, but i could see him scheduling WKU every 2-4 years.... I think Coach Horn would like to play a variety of SEC, ACC, and PAC 10 squads with some regularity; I'd like to see WKU play UK, UT, Vandy and the Gators occasionally as well.....

No. His discipline would never go over well in the NBA. His discipline is partically what makes him a great coach.
