I'm not happy about the result, obviously, but I'm encouraged that CMU is at least playing competitive football. Please do me a favor and knock the snot out of WMU next weekend! :chair:

Thanx CMichFan...I'll tell ya. CMU's O line is a lot better than I thought. And Jackson ripped us for 123 yrds. I knew after the first week when the Chips ran for over 200 yards against Michigan that they'd be able to run the ball. CMU came in averaging over 200 a game and we held them to 158...which for our usually stout run D isn't that great. CMU has talent and if anybody looks past them, they'll bite ya!
WMU? That is gonna be a war. Fire up Chips the rest of '03.

To: C.Mich. Fan,
Thanks for the recognition..got to tell you I was concerned for a good part of the game, the way you guys were running the ball. To tell you the truth I think your O-Coord. "blew it" when he started calling for pass plays after you'd run all the way down the field..we weren't stopping it, yet he went to a pass, not once, but several times, then had to settle for a field goal attempt. If you guys had a QB who threw the ball with any consistency, it could've been even closer. Either way, it was an entertaining game with lot of action. To be honest, I was surprised that we'd outrushed you for the game, because it didn't seem that way. Good luck in your remaining games...knock off UT for us and we'll be very happy Falcons!!

Yes 61 I was thinking the same thing..Jackson was pulling off 5 or 6 per carries all the way down the field, then when CMU got inside the 15..3 straight pass plays, next thing ya know its 4 and 10 and the field goal kicker misses the field goal.
