It should be noted that on the same day that Marshall took a self-reported 1,000 or so fans to Kansas State, Miami fans took, according to Colorado news reports, at least twice that to Ft. Collins.

I lost all respect for Pruett when he compared his sorry program's getting caught by the NCAA with the victims of the plane crash in the late 60's that decimated the school's football program.

Gotta Love it!!!! He totally redeems himself with this. I just wish he would have narrowed his comment and said Toledo doesn't travel well.

Just kidding, I really don't care if Marshall gets a bowl this year. It would be nice, but based on end of season performance UNLESS Toledo ends up 8-4 I don't think Marshall deserves consideration.

Not trying to be a bad fan or anything, but everyone acts like we've already won our final two games and are 8-4. EMU and Duke won their first game with an interim headcoach so I don't count UCF out. OU is a rivalry game no safe bet there either. If the team that Miami beat shows up for UCF and OU 8-4 isn't a given.

I didn't realize Coach Pruett started this post.

True, he did not start the post. However he did comment about other MAC squads, which would seem to stand as fair game for posts on a MAC bulletin board. If he were just commenting on Marshall's D, or the price of tea in China or even Marshall's ability to draw fans, it would not have been worthy of response. However you must admit that if you were a fan of another team in the MAC, and a coach of another team made a comment that essentially put down the league as a whole, you might not dig it too much.

I like most other Marshall fans are used to having $hitty comments made about our football program,university and WV in general.Yes it sucks when a University or a football player or Coach make stupid comments.What would you want your Coach to say if ESPN was interviewing him,Our team fans don't travel as well as another team.I don't think so.He isn't putting down the leauge as a whole he is just stating that he thinks his team travels better than other schools in the MAC.

Well, there's a big difference between saying, "We're the best in the MAC at bringing fans"
vs.
"We're the ONLY team in the MAC that brings fans."

The first statement lifts you up without really ripping on anybody. The second rips every other team in the league.

This conference $ucks, this is the first year since its inception, that the mac has done well other then Marshall and now you all pound your chests and proclaim that you are one of the best conferences in the country

Marshall made this conference, Pruett is the best coach in this conference[ check his record] and you guys are so bush league that it almost is comical. Next year, you guys will fall back to loserville.

Marshall has a young team, a thrid string qb and some problems with injurys. We will be back, what about you. The Mac is an after thought in college football, two bowls and a crappy tv contract.
