The Redhawks don't have home field advantage on a weekday night as they travel to glorious Peden Stadium to take on the very motivated Ohio Bobcats. Motivation aside, the bobcats don't have a dependable offense and its going to take another killer gameplan like what was in place for the NIU game to pull off the upset.
The Bobcats are going to have to fight for their lives with three of the top six of the defensive line. All four preseason starters at linebacker are out for the season. Not good news for the Iron Claw defense. The secondary is still intact, and has the experience to fustrate Big Ben all day long.
On offense the Bobcats are probably going to start former Redhawk, Ryan Hawk at QB. Can Ryanhawk stab Redhawk in the back like Grunkentraitor? He is leading the Bobcats QB's this season with 707 yards of passing in a platoon role. His 99 passing attempts resulted in 44 completions for a 48% completion ratio. With Hawk starting expect to see recievers Mayle(485yards), Hackett(354yards), and ex-QB Porter(252yards) to catch the ball. Porter might be used on a couple of fake pitch plays, his specialty. The running backs are Houston (274yards), Owens(245yards), Young(275yards), and Taylor(180yards) for a balanced attack.
Last Miami outing on the road was a 38-30 escape at Kent St. Miami should take control of the game at Peden in the second half with its great offense. I hate picking the Cats to lose, but Brian Knorr has never won a big game in his life, and I see no reason for it to change this Saturday.
My Predicted Score: Miami 48 OU 27.
