Please, where are you getting your information about crossover games for next year?
Is it an official source or speculation?
TIA.

Speculation. Especially unfounded due to the fact that no one knows if Marshall and UCF are part of the equation, nor how badly they're going to pay for leaving when it comes to scheduling if they are here next season.

why wouldn't we play UT and WMU again, I thought you played the same crossover games back to back years so you can play home/away...at least I thought thats how they have been doing it. The 13 team league screwed things up there for a couple of years too.

Our crossover games became an issue when Bowling Green was shifted to the West Division, an unpopular decision at the time. When the shift was announced, our athletic department was able to announce several years worth of crossover games right there on the spot. (The reason it did so was to assure fans we would continue to play Ohio teams).
I don't remember the list being anything remotely like the organized home-and-home pairings you describe,
I've seen fans post at http://www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com about having Ohio and Marshall as 2004 crossover games before. I suspect that is correct -- at least according to the old plan. Obviously, if Marshall and Central Florida leave, things will change.

Nope. Not at all. Toledo has played OU once since 1996. The Rockets visited Athens in 2001. A lot of folks were hoping that the OU Writhing 110 would accompany them on their reciprocal visit, which never happened.
I think that Toledo also played in Oxnard in 1999 and didn't get to play Miami again until last season.
I wouldn't make any assumptions on schedules based on past match-ups, or even conference assurances. Marshall fans, in particular, shouldn't assume anything...even within their division.

I will say that I think fans tend to overrate the importance of running backs to their teams. As good as Michael Turner may be, I don't see his departure, alone, as cause for concern.
I tend to agree about your RB comment. Turner was a special physical talent, but we have a stable of talented, young RBs coming back, and more importantly, a more experienced OL - we had to replace 3 starters coming into this year, then because of oddities had to do so with two redshirt frosh and a soph. They were an uncharacteristic OL for recent NIU teams - smaller and more athletic. I suspect they be much stronger this coming year.
I have to put Miami and UT as the favorites for next year even if Ben doesn't come back, though the East would be a dogfight b/w MU and Marshall.

We also played at UCF in 2002, but didn't get the return trip to the Glass Bowl for 2003.
I don't think there is any method to the way the MAC schedules cross-over games.
I remember hearing before that the schools submit who they would like to play and then the MAC Officials try to schedule around that.
