Hip hop hooray - the program is almost ready to roll to new heights.

Now it is on to a new beginning for Zip football. The new coach should not be a rush decision - December recruiting was a bust and from what I hear the people in the running for the job are all involved in bowl games and are all major program coordinators.

Owens is off to Division II and that is where he belongs - where he can be the master of all that he surveys. He'll never get past Grand Valley State in his own conference. Kind of like he did at Akron.

No big transfers or NFL departures in the month since Owens was axed?
