Yes muther, the love over there among Memphis and S. Miss and TCU and Louisville and UC... it's like children cuddling a puppy on a warm spring day. :)

Well I guess it really isn't a big deal, but so everyone knows what I said.....

I basically said that if the thread about baseball/softball and the thread slamming WMU about the UCONN game were not moved to the Smack board then I don't see why Knight Time's thread was moved to the smack board.

To further my thoughts......If the others would have been moved then I would understand moving KT's thread; not necessarily agree but I would understand. It just seems like we weren't consistent there, that's all. No slam on the mod that did move it or any mod that thought it should be moved.

In reality guys.......we have all given UCF and Marshall fans a lot of crap lately. Yes, we have seen childish stuff from Marshall and UCF fans but we have posted childish stuff about them too. We have a year to go with all of us here, so maybe we shouldn't be as hard on UCF and Marshall fans and maybe they shouldn't be as hard on the other MAC fans.

Hey, every mod on here uses his discretion. Moving a post to the smack board does absolutely no harm. It's still available to those who want to continue the thread.

In a lighter frame of mind, I went back an un-ignored KT a couple weeks ago, and he has been pretty good in most of his posts. This little tantrum about moving his post almost makes me wish I hadn't done that. Jeesh, it got moved...it WAS smack. Get over it. And FWIW, I read the post completely, along with the replies. I think WMU made a stupid mistake, but it's their mistake to make.

I enjoy spicing the board up.

Muther, you are sort of wrong by the double standard comment. I don't post on the MAC board too often, but in my short time here, I have come to feel that KT was one of the most cordial fans on this site. There have been a couple posts lately that have given me somewhat of a different impression such as his response to my question (which I meant no harm by...just looking out for others), but overall I would say that KT has displayed more integrity on this board than most, definitely including myself. In my opinion, I would have started the thread in the Smack Board area, but most of us have posted questionable material on this board only to see it survive so I thought he should have been given the benefit of the doubt.

Atleast he isn't a falcon, just my opinion...

I'm a nice guy, I promise :)

I just feel that UCF has got a bad wrap on this board, ever since I first observed this board. I have respect for the MAC, as alot of UCF fans do, but people here don't believe us.

I also know that our coach and some fans may have left a bad taste in peoples' mouths here, due to arrogance and perhaps ignorance of waht the MAC is all about.

Talkin a lil smack and having debates is fun. Without em, we'd just be sitting around saying "Hey, that was a great game! Good luck in the future, I had a delightful time!!!"

Yea, boring.

I wasn't referring to KT with that comment. I was referring to the Marshall/UCF bashing posts hanging around while posts about any other school made by fans of UCF and Marshall getting moved or deleted. That is a double standard. I don't care. I just ignore it and move on, but it does exist and it does happen, almost as a rule and not the exception. It is sort of running joke around here now anyway, with us leaving. I just figured the AUP is a standard of rules, yet enforcement is picked and chosen. THey are free to run it how they see fit though, and I respect that freedom.

Dan challenged me and said that no other mods disagreed.

I thought he should know that someone DID, and that yanking my post is pretty lame considering the other crap that goes on here.
If you read that as a personal challenge, then you took it the wrong way. I'm new at this mod thing, and I actually wanted opinions. I have little problem being told I've been too heavy-handed, though I might disagree with the assessment.

IMO, you went right into name-calling and weren't even looking for a discussion, just trying to call someone out. That's right up the alley of my definition of "smack", so it got moved. What's so horrible about the Smack board anyways?

Like it or not, O'Leary has been busted as lying on his resume. A WMU poster on another board, apparently not operating under the same AUP as this board, has not been publicly outed as being a feline. I don't see the direction correlation.

I didn't "yank" your post - it still exists in all its glory, just where IMO it belongs. As for what rocketfootball said in a PM - that's your discussion. I've asked for opinions publicly, and if other mods do or don't want to post their opinions publicly it's probably for a reason - you've potentially betrayed his trust, but that's between you and him. I wasn't looking for unanimous validation, I was looking for mod opinions.

This isn't the first time we've Herd that an anti-Marshall (now also UCF) bias exists here. But look at what has occurred - I didn't touch the posts critical of WMU because they're legit arguments, even if they're ripping on other (current) MAC schools for their scheduling practices.

KT - the ONE post that was moved was doing nothing more than calling out a poster that to our knowledge does not even come to this board, and calling him names. Simply tying this into the WMU/UConn discussion by saying "WMU has no room to rag on UCF" doesn't make it any less smack.

RF - I have no issues with your opinion about this, I asked for it. I'm fine with backing up my opinion of the situation. But IMO starting a thread to call out a poster that doesn't even come here and call him names is nothing more than smack. It might have been different if Kathy Beauregard (sp?) had called out UCF's scheduling practices, but I don't even believe that UCF is ducking opponents - I've actually posted on here my respect for their OOC scheduling.

No problem. I sent the PM to him before you posted that you moved it and why. Like I said, I just feel that some other things probably should have been moved if this one was moved.

But again......it's not a big deal to me at all. I never imagined a whole friggin' thread about this issue. Let's move on.

I think that applies to about 99% of the threads on this board.
