Obviously, Indiana would NEVER leave the Big Televen. The only thing that might happen down the road would be for the Big East to try to get a few more football schools or something. There's also the possibility that the SEC will kick out Vanderbilt, the Big 12 will kick out Baylor, the SEC will invite FSU and the Big 12 will invite Arkansas. Then, the ACC would be looking for another school, which I would imagine would be Syracuse or Penn State. Then, of course, the Big East would look for a replacement for 'Cuse, and the Big Televen would probably make another run at ND or would consider Pitt.
The only way the MAC or C-USA is affected is if the Big East takes someone -- most likely a C-USA school like UCF or USF. I still woudn't be convinced that anything would happen to the MAC, however.
The biggest thing that could happen to the MAC is if the proposed attendance rules actually went into effect (which I don't believe they will -- it's too arbitrary), and the MAC lost a few schools. Then, I know several schools would not see the MAC as a viable conference.
And, KT, lighten up, man. The
means I was joking.
One reason I don't see the SEC kicking out Vandy, though, is that Vandy gives the SEC some academic credibility, and it would be incredibly hard to justify from a PR stanpoint -- especially since their basketball is very solid.
