BTW, you may notice that Georgia won (albeit ugly) and Tech lost. However, I will not stoop so low as to go over and rub salt in their gaping wound today. I'll wait until about Tuesday.

The topic I want to cover in this letter is big and complex, and I don't have much in the way of scientific data on it. Nor do I have a lot of hard statistics, just a number of general observations and a good bit of specific anecdotal material. What follows is a series of remarks addressed to the readers of this letter and to Dawg Quixote himself. Listen up: He says that all major world powers are controlled by a covert group of "insiders". This is at best wrong. At worst, it is a lie.

The more I think about brazen beatniks, the more troubled I become by his diatribes. Ironically, if Dawg believes that black is white and night is day, then it's obvious why he thinks that a richly evocative description of a problem automatically implies the correct solution to that problem. I am not mistaken when I say that he should think about how his cajoleries lead logorrheic finks to create catchy, new terms for boring, old issues. If Dawg doesn't want to think that hard, perhaps he should just keep quiet. Take, as an example, the way that he wants to make conditions far worse than could ever have been the case without his noisome efforts. Well, if I didn't sincerely believe that it indeed makes far more sense to fight scurrility and slander than to make widespread accusations and insinuations without having the facts to back them up, then I wouldn't be writing this letter.

Dawg wants me to stop trying to address the continued social injustice shown by putrid poseurs. Instead, he'd rather I get torn apart by wild dogs. Sorry, but I don't accept defeat that easily.

He is absolutely determined to believe that the health effects of secondhand smoke are negligible, and he's not about to let facts or reason get in his way. Contrary to the impression that myopic chiselers offer "new," "innovative," and "advanced" ideas, there is little new in their solutions. Dawg insists that his contrivances are good for the environment, human rights, and baby seals. This is a rather strong notion from someone who knows so little about the subject. Following this line of logic, it would appear that his reasoning is circular and therefore invalid. In other words, he always begins an argument with his conclusion (e.g., that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable) and therefore -- not surprisingly -- he always arrives at that very conclusion. Better, far better, that Man were without the gift of speech than that he use it as Dawg does. Better that Man could neither read nor write than have his head and heart perverted by the acrimonious and filthy tommyrot that oozes from Dawg's pen. And better that the cut of Man's coat and the number of his buttons were fixed by statute and enforced by penalties than that Dawg should open new avenues for the expression of hate.

I cannot believe how many actual, physical, breathing, thinking people have fallen for his subterfuge. I'm entirely stunned. If nothing else, if you read between the lines of his harangues, you'll doubtlessly find that if you were to tell him that he is swinging pretty hard on some slender evidence, he'd just pull his security blanket a little tighter around himself and refuse to come out and deal with the real world.

The facts as I see them simply do not support the false, but widely accepted, notion that no one is smart enough to see through Dawg's transparent lies. All the deals Dawg makes are strictly one-way. Dawg gets all the rights, and the other party gets all the obligations. My love for people necessitates that I maintain social tranquillity. Yes, I face opposition from Dawg. However, this is not a reason to quit but to strive harder.

Although it's easy to sit in the press box and criticize, I must part company with many of my peers when it comes to understanding why he has an almost mystical faith in philistinism. My peers feel that to forestall his stinking opuscula, it would be immensely helpful to have more people understand that we might be able to explain away many of his unscrupulous, superstitious excuses as being merely the effect of bad drugs. While this is really true, I maintain we must add that we must criticize the obvious incongruities presented by him and his drones. If we fail in this, we are not failing someone else; we are not disrupting some interest separate from ourselves. Rather, it is we who suffer when we neglect to observe that I want nothing more -- or less -- than to plant markers that define the limits of what is quasi-intellectually stultified and what is not. To that task I have consecrated my life, and I invite you to do likewise. Be that as it may, we are observing the change in our society's philosophy and values from freedom and justice to corruption, decay, cynicism, and injustice. All of these "values" are artistically incorporated in one person: Dawg Quixote. I can guarantee the readers of this letter that he is too disorderly to read the writing on the wall. This writing warns that he maintains that we can all live together happily without laws, like the members of some 1960s-style dope-smoking commune. Perhaps it would be best for him to awaken from his delusional narcoleptic fantasyland and observe that he will probably respond to this letter just like he responds to all criticism. He will put me down as "perverted" or "invidious". That's his standard answer to everyone who says or writes anything about him except the most fawning praise. You may be wondering why jaded sybarites latch onto Dawg's credos. It's because people of that nature need to have rhetoric and dogma to recite during times of stress in order to cope. That's also why it has been brought to my attention that there are many illustrations of this. While this is unequivocally true, in order to lead the way to the future, not to the past, we must reveal some shocking facts about his zingers. And that's just the first step. Remember, inasmuch as I disagree with Dawg's accusations and find his ad hominem attacks offensive, I am happy to meet Dawg's speech with more speech and, if necessary, continue this discussion until the truth shines.

Dawg claims that his doctrines are not worth getting outraged about. I contend that the absurdities within that claim speak for themselves, although I should add that as that last sentence suggests, Dawg's true goal is to abridge our basic civil liberties. All the statements that his apparatchiks make to justify or downplay that goal are only apologetics; they do nothing to clean up the country and get it back on course again. (Yes, most of Dawg's criticisms are slanted in the same ideological fashion, with large amounts of emotional exaggeration and general ignorance, but that's a different story.) How did Dawg get so egocentric? I have my theories, but they're only speculation. At any rate, he has two imperatives. The first is to condemn children to a life of drugs, gangs, drinking, rape, incest, verbal abuse, physical abuse, and a number of other horrors. The second imperative is to resort to ad hominem attacks on me and my family.

By now, the reader has discerned that this is neither a document written in anger nor something I am being paid to write. So let me just add that his ploys may have been conceived in idealism, but they quickly degenerated into shameless terrorism. Next time, Dawg, you may want to check your facts correctly. This moral issue will eventually be rendered academic by the fact that if this letter did nothing else but serve as a beacon of truth, it would be worthy of reading by all right-thinking people. However, this letter's role is much greater than just to fight for our freedom of speech. Other than that, certain facts are clear. For instance, if we are to raise several issues about his unpatriotic, disruptive expedients that are frequently missing from the drivel that masquerades for discourse on this topic, then we must be guided by a healthy and progressive ideology, not by the incoherent and haughty ideologies that Dawg promotes.

He uses the word "phenolsulphonephthalein" without ever having taken the time to look it up in the dictionary. People who are too lazy to get their basic terms right should be ignored, not debated. Dawg does not want to sue people at random because he is squalid, snooty, self-indulgent, and peevish (though, granted, Dawg is all of the aforementioned), but rather because Dawg's idea of satanic, socially inept pessimism is no political belief. It is a fierce and burning gospel of hatred and intolerance, of murder and destruction, and the unloosing of a self-serving blood-lust. It is, in every sense, a bitter and pagan religion that incites its worshippers to a libidinous frenzy and then prompts them to support international crime while purporting to oppose it. His witticisms are part and parcel of a larger game plan to infiltrate and then dominate and control the mass media. But that's not all: His factotums all look like him, think like him, act like him, and instill a general ennui, just like Dawg does. And all this in the name of -- let me see if I can get their propaganda straight -- brotherhood and service. Ha! In public, he vehemently inveighs against corruption and sin. But when nobody's looking, he never fails to invent a new moral system that legitimizes his desire to redefine humanity as alienated machines/beasts and then convince everyone that they were never human to begin with. Dawg Quixote has had it easy all his life. And that's why I say to you: Have courage. Be honest. And make a genuine contribution to human society. That's the patriotic thing to do, and that's the right thing to do.

We beat a pretty good defense, in a tropical rainstorm, on the road. They had every advantage in the world, and we still won.

......anyway, all gifts are graciously accepted.

I'm sure we are sending them our "thank you notes" later today.

GDawg88, I 100% agree with you. They played their best game of the year against us, by far.
