Omar for Heisman

27 TDs - 2 INTs

Any more comments about the spring game?

Why don't you make some more lame tree or tractor jokes. :snore:

Yes, but Garrett Wolfe is still the offensive story of the MAC. 6-0 trumps 5-1. :D

No arguing that...I still don't know how you get taken to overtime by BSU, and we beat the living hell out of them... 03-banghead

It happens. It was the second game this year that we got up 3 TDs and apparently got complacent. Our D got no rest in the second half - they had the ball over 18 minutes. And we made them work - a lot of plays and slow marches down the field, but they never faltered. Our O really wasn't stopped in that game, though.

I wouldn't talk shiitt until after you find a way to win in Toledo. Until then, go piss on your one tree.

This game isn't in BG, it is in Toledo where you haven't won in like 10 years. :withstupid:

Agreed RF. But I think we all can say now with assurance that Omar far exceeded everyones expectations regardless of how these last two (or three or four :D ) games turn out.

I can also honestly say now that while I was pumping him up before the season as potentially being better than Harris before he was through that I was scared to death that he might be a flop (although I still did not read much into the spring game). But I did say on several occasions that potential was the key word.

maybe be BG should beat a team with a winning record first, before talkin about stats that were padded against teams that have a combined record of 14-41!

Sure enough dude!! You are correct...the boy stinks...you should have no trouble with him whatsoever on the 23rd...in fact, why don't you start your second string D...they should be fine! After all...he did suck in the BG spring game :snore:

When you have 10 freshman on your defensive 2-deep roster, your 2nd string plays just as much as your 1st string. It really wouldn't matter if we started our 2nd string.

Hey moron -

I said that Omar is good despite your assertions to the contrary.

You said - but BG can't win in Toledo.

:withstupid: :withstupid:

Nice try, but again you only discredit yourself.

MF'er - I could be wrong, but I don't remember ever saying that Omar Jacobs wasn't any good. Show me where I said it!!!

And yes, I still feel that BG won't beat Toledo in the Glass Bowl.

And to throw some fire on the fuel, Omar did throw an INT and would have been 2 INT's if Marshall was called for offsides on a play. That shows that he is human just like everyone else.

I have to wonder though, what the hell Brandon was thinking with a 28 point lead with 7:00 left and keeping Omar and the rest of the starters in the game. With less than 2 minutes left and a 21 point lead he still had Omar in there. Is Brandon an idiot??? What if Omar would have got hurt on a freak play and not be able to play against Toledo?

Your coach is not very bright.

We only play our other 2 QB's (who are also good) when we are comfortably ahead of our opponent. We never just assume a game is over, anything can happen. But thanks for looking out for our Omar, but he can look after himself! No one's anywhere near him!

You're right. With your crappy defense, only having a four touchdown lead is pretty tenuous.

Nah, our D was sloppy today. Normally, very good. But today, we needed a bit more than 4 TD's to put in our backup.

That's fine, but if something would have happened to Omar you can't tell me that there wouldn't have been an uproar from BG fans. That was just plain stupid on Brandon's part.

Eh, long story stemming from a long standing policy put into place by Urban Meyer. If a back-up QB or second string won't get in decent experience and playing time, they won't put them in. Meaning we'll usually put them in if we have a sizable lead going into the 2nd half or 4th quarter. I do agree with you, we could have put them in for the 4th quarter, but since we didn't, they weren't going in for the rest of the game. Just policy. Not saying I agree with the decision though.
