I don't see MU getting many calls today.
Just because they got the number wrong, doesn't mean there wasn't a penalty.

How did you like that helmet to helmet hit that might have paralyzed a kid? No call there, but the kid who laid that hit should be out of the game.

Dirty and unnecessary hit.
Write a letter to Rick Chryst. Tell him how you feel. The officials didn't make a call on that and you don't like it.

I thought that hit was perhaps unnecessary, but not dirty. Defensive players live to make hits like that. It looked so bad because McGrady had his head turned sideways to it and never saw it coming, then landing on the side of his head. Hope the young man is ok.....

BG up by 7 now, but Falcons are at the Herd 2-yard-line.

Shootout in progress.

Wow, this is getting ugly.

I think whichever East team wins division is happy that BG has least chance to make MACC.

That dirty hit is irrelevant now, as BG is smearing them. A tipped pass results in an INT TD for Newsom, and while BG's D hasn't stopped Marshall much, Marshall's supposedly stout D is a sieve today. 03-lol

Also, Zips lead 17-13

AND, Syracuse is about to lose to Temple, putting the Orange on the verge of bowl elimination!

Late 3rd quarter: CMU finally gets in the endzone on (I think) our third chance in the red zone, but we missed the XP. 28-6 Bulls.

A helmet to helmet hit is dirty (and illegal) no matter how you spin it. In the NFL, you'd get fined for that.

Perhaps the MAC will look at it, but I don't feel the need to write Chyrst about it.

Didn't look helmet to helmet to me. Looked like the BG player took a solid pop under the chin while he was defenseless (wasn't looking in that direction). Better believe I would have popped him the same way, given the chance (and a lot more athletic ability when I was a kid 03-wink )

The standing over him and talking trash was what bothered me.

But could the guy possible have known, in that split second, that McGrady was really hurt? I doubt it.

No, he couldn't. It was wrong whether he knew or not, imo. That whole standing over a guy you just creamed and taunting him is one of the worst aspects of the game. It always amazes me that it doesn't get called for a penalty when some of the celebration penalties are so arbitrary and ridiculous.

To the young man's credit, when they showed him on the sidelines afterwards, he was apparently very concerned.

Freak, I hope you're kidding about the siren. My preliminary prediction has BG winning 108 to 107.

Same trash they were talking on the sideline while he was being attended to.

I thought the hit was clean too as soon as I saw it on the field and after seeing it 6 times on the jumbotron afterwards I still thought the same thing.
