The EMU Egals of basketball are off the another great they beat Wayne State by 51 this evening. They look as solid as last year.

They win again tonight 81 to 52 over a stronger than expexted Maryland-Eastshore. It was 35-33 EMU at the half then EMU put the breaks on their offense with a sound defense. 2-0 a good start.

Question for all EMU women's basketball fans:

How many of you are willing to attend some away games to support Suzy Merchant and her team?

I am leaning towards attending the away games Youngstown State, Indiana, Bowling Green, Kent State, WMU, and CMU.

No brainer upon attending the game @ Michigan - Crisler Arena.

The other away games => @ Canisius, @ Miami (OH), @ Toledo, @ Akron, and @ N. Illinois are impossible for myself to attend due to work obligations.

sad to see both 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons down the drain. A dismal loss to Bowling Green in the MAC tourney and Kentucky in the WNIT from 2004-05 and then losing to Kent State in the MAC and Indiana State in the WNIT this season.

Hoping for a better outcome for the 2006-07 season despite having the talent and coaching staff. Eastern needs to shine for next season.
