Per the Pigpen...

Kelley Hester was offically introduced as the 3rd Head Coach for UA Women's Golf this afternoon. Hester, who played as Kelley Richardson at Georgia, comes to Arkansas from UNLV where she started the Lady Rebel golf program last year. Prior to that Hester was an assistant at Georgia and the Head Coach at Mercer. She seemed real positive that the Lady'Back golf program can be successful and a top 10 program , but also seemed to not fully realize how big golf is in Arkansas, the quality of courses in the state and especially NWA where the team practices, and the type of support that UA teams received. She and her husband are both from Georgia and didn't really want a long stay in Vegas, so since the bass fishing in Arkansas is "good", she looked at this job as a favor to her husband who couldn't bass fish in Nevada. He will be equally suprised as to the extent of bass fishing in the state and should really enjoy having Beaver Lake so close. Not the most dynamic presence, but then that's not what a golf coach does. Given her background and recommendations, she should have the Lady'Backs competitive in the SEC and a top 10 program soon.

I wish Coach Hester all the best...welcome her to Arkansas.
