Didn't the Steelers lose their starting QB and their starting RB at about the same time this year. I dont recall......how did they do with their backups....It must have been tragic for them

(just having fun with you guys....)

How demoralizing does that have to be for Buffalo? The Steelers come out with their 2nd string and proceed to dismantle them, even with the 3RD string subbing in early and often. And how about that rookie free agent running back?! Any Toledo fans notice the 3rd string QB who came in for the end of the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter? That doggone guy from Boston College that whooped us in the Motor City Bowl must have been pretty decent afterall 03-wink

Oddball Wrote:Unless you blame Gradkowski's and McDougal's injuries on Amstutz, I'm baffled as to how it can be his fault. Do you believe that he could prepare a RB who has sat out almost an entire season with injuries, and an inexperienced freshman QB to lead an offense as complicated as Toledo's with such a short amount of time? No offense, but that's completely phucking nuts.
McDougal is null and void if I am not mistaken Toledo has the "Baby Backs" so there was someone equally as good as McDougal. I would say it was Amstutz fault for leaving Gradkowski in as long as he did. IMO, I think Bruce played better after the injury happened then after the surgery. First couple of series I would of pulled Bruce especially how he couldn't throw the ball and that was noticeable right off the bat.

Council is going to have to play sooner or later, but don't wait til the second half when the deficit is a sizeable margin. Thats like throwing him into a pit of wild dogs.
