Can't fit you in for the UF game but certainly might be able to "work" something out on Arkansas St.

R_x, firstly, yes we are setting up big-time for this one. We usually pick one game a year where we just go nuts with the tailgating, and this is the one for 2002. The others, we tailgate, don't get me wrong, but it's very tiresome blowing it out week in and week out like that. One big one a year works for me. We have several friends coming down from Nashville for this one and we are all staying in Tunica(I know it's Robinsonville, NPR, Tunica is just more recognizable) so we can get there early enough to get a good spot. All of my friends that are coming have never been to a game in Oxford, so I want them to get the full experience. Two of them are HUGE UT fans and will probably be donning their UT orange, but pulling for the Rebs big time. I told them I would make an exception for this game.

Anyway, about your needed ticket. My seven are spoken for, but my dad's friends almost always have an extra 1 or 2 for each game. I think they buy more than they usually need, just in case, but usually have more than they can use. I'm not tailgating there with them this week, but will definitely stop by and ask them for you, if I have some way of getting in touch with you to let you know. If you have a cell # or anything, PM it to me and I will keep it handy Saturday.

Rebel_Rx, I should have know without asking but since the question was posed and not answered, I had to ask, again.

Somehow, I knew that Peanut would avoid "having you come see his sky box" Isn't that a curious situation? He let his big mouth overload his as*.

When you meet the mysterious Peanut and visit his sky box - let me know. As they say, "Inquiring Minds...

Sky boxes are a novel idea but they really don't appeal to me. (i realize the offer wasn't extended to me) There's something about sweating/freezing in the trenches. Give me minimal elbow room and a gaseous neighbor any day.

If any of you need tickets there will be plenty available on gameday. I would suggest arriving early if you need to get a ticket. I have been a Rebel fan since the sixties and in that time the Ole Miss game of the week has indeed been the "hot-ticket." Lately I have had extra time to go to all home games and I have always bought a ticket or two on gameday. Its easy to get a sideline ticket and then wander into the student section to check out the honeys. Student section always has seats available if your ticket is in a bad section. For the Vandy game I bought a ticket for $5.00 in section M on the East side. I sat in the student section, most of them were gone by halftime. And all the way up in that section is not a bad seat, you are in the shade and you can see all that you need to.
I've got a mouth like a Marine. I get riled up at Cutcliffe and his antics and nothing is better than swearing and cussing when he's got me mad. In the student section, usually it is no bother to others around that I am cussing up a storm. I can't help it but Ole Miss football (and any sport) gives me ulcers and swearing helps. Last game I had some honeys in front of me swearing and cussing on every failed tackle of the second half. Had I been on the West side, God forbid, some ninny would have to threaten me, brow-beat me, or just go and get the law to chastise me. Oh, the easily offended are so offensive!
But this weekend it is dreaded Florida and the fans usually turn out well for big-time SEC teams like the Gators. It is hard to say that there will definitely be tickets for sale but I would bet on it. In fact, I don't plan on spending more than $50 for the pair on the East or West side. But you'll find me in the student section, all the way up top, under the cover of the fat cats' club level.
Those scalpers as they are called are very flexible on their prices. If they say they want $50 a ticket just tell them you refuse to pay more than $25 per ticket and they'll come down.
The most money I spent on Ole Miss tickets in a given season was that year a few back in which I purchased season tickets from the ticket office. What a rip!

Scalper: I can't bear to let this ticket go for less than $100. It's taking money out of my pocket.

Me: I got $30 for you.

Scalper: Sold.
