What did yall think about former defensive coordinator Lovette? Was he a good gameday coach? Did he pump up the players? Did he contribute to that butt whuppin yall put on the Gators? Just asking because we got him at Clemson now. Why was he let go?

probably the single most important reason he was let go is the late season choke auburn's offense/defense pulled. he seemed to be satisfied that they beat florida defensively and we never played defense to that level afterwards. as far as a motivator i couldnt really tell you. i was never within ear shot of him during game to hear his antics on the sidelines.

In my opinion, he was a pretty good coach, but didn't do a good job adjusting when his gameplan didn't work. If it worked from the beginning of the game, fine. (Florida game last year is a good example) That, and the late-season meltdown '71 mentioned. I mean, allowing Arkansas to score 42?!? Before that game, the hogs were averaging about 6 pts. a game! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="mad-flaming.gif" />

I hope he works out for Clemson.
