Arkansas vs. Alabama to be Nationally Televised; Network and Game Time to be Announced Early Next Week

UA Sports Information- Monday, September 16, 2002 --- FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. ? Arkansas will battle Southeastern Conference Western Division rival Alabama in a nationally televised game, but the network and the kickoff time will not be determined until after this weekend?s action.
The Hogs and Crimson Tide will appear on either CBS Sports or ESPN. CBS Sports will have first choice between the Arkansas vs. Alabama game and the Florida vs. Kentucky game. ESPN will televise the game not chosen by CBS Sports. A final decision could be made as late as next Monday.
If the game is televised by CBS, the kickoff will be 2:30 p.m. CT. If ESPN televises the game, the kickoff will be set for 6:45 p.m. CT.
According to SEC television agreements, television rights holders choose games 12 days prior to the playing date. However, twice a season, the rights holders may choose to exercise a six-day option in choosing televised contests. A six-day option is being utilized by CBS Sports for games of Sept. 28, 2002.
As soon as further television information is available, it will be posted on www.hogwired.com. It will also be released to media outlets.
Arkansas? game vs. Alabama will be the first nationally televised game for the Razorbacks this season. The Hogs are slated to be on CBS on Nov. 29 against LSU. Last season, Arkansas appeared on national television eight times including the 2002 SBC Cotton Bowl Classic.

I love the night games in Fayetteville.

Bring on ESPN...and make em bring Gameday with 'em. I'd love to tell that a-hole Lee Corso EXACTLY what I think of him.
