I don't know how bad this eastern michigan team was, but to see that Akron has finally gotten on the positive end in the rebounding column, shows signs for optimism. Earlier in the season, it pretty much didn't matter who Akron faced, they were going to get outrebounded on both ends. But i'm impressed at how they played today. The key for Akron is to knock down the key shots, and improve their field goal percentage. Their big men positions seem to be by committee, so they will have to put in their best effort to grab down those rebounds.

Rebounding is key, no doubt. Another key for the Zips is, when the game is over, to have more points than the other team. For example, at the end of Akron's game vs. Western Michigan on Thursday. If Akron scores 78 pts. and Western scores 72 pts. and the second half is over, then Akron gets credit for that win and Western would get a loss. I think this is true 100% of the time.
