AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn and Georgia Tech, which haven't met on the football field since the 1987
season, will renew their rivalry in 2003.

The teams will meet Sept. 6, 2003, at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta and in 2005 at Auburn's
Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The game in Atlanta was originally scheduled to be played at the Georgia Dome, but the two schools
agreed to move the contest to Grant Field which is currently undergoing renovation.

Auburn has played Georgia Tech 90 times, more than any other opponent except Georgia. The two
teams played for the first time in Auburn's first year of football, 1892, and met every year from
1905-1987. The Tigers lead the all-time series, 4

Adding fuel to the fire here, but even though the Jackets haven't played the Tigers in 15 years, Auburn has beaten Tech 9 straight times, and 16 of the last 19 meetings.

I wasn't old enough to remember it, but I've heard a lot about the '85 game. Auburn was ranked in the Top 15 and Tech had held Bo Jackson in check until late in the game, when he broke loose for 50-60 yard TD run. <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />

A Great Moment in Auburn History: the day Alabama hired Bill Curry away from Georgia Tech as head coach!

Seriously, this should be a good game next year. I can't wait.
