The Badger football team will play Temple on Sept. 10 instead of Western Michigan. The Mid-American Conference asked UW to switch opponents (from WMU to a suitable replacement) as a favor to the league. UW granted that request and accepted Temple – who just joined the MAC – as the foe.

Premature speculation. (again). It's practically impossible that a formal offer has been made yet, much less an acceptance. (although it very well may happen eventually!)

Wisconsn's Schedule shows them hosting Temple on Sept 10th

But Temple's schedule shows them at home hosting NC State that same day:

There has been no official vote by the MAC to add any particular school. That vote is still to come. However, it sure does look like Temple will be in the MAC. In fact, Marshall fans would say it is a done deal.

Someone should email Chuck Landon and ask what's going on.

I already tried that. He responded by saying that Notre Dame was taking the invite instead of Temple and that it was a done deal.

Chuck will also probably ask you what impact the new attendance non-rules will have on the MAC......his readers are dying to hear of the MAC's demise in order to feel a tad better about moving to that far-flung conference aptly named Conference-USA.

P.S. A better question to Chuckie would be how will Marshall cope with the new NCAA academic reforms???? :(

Wisconsin has updated their website. The paragraph about playing Temple and Temple going to the MAC has been removed. Their schedule now shows that September 10th is a game vs TBA in Madison.

Speculation has no business on a school's official website. My guess is that someone in authority saw it and screamed to have it removed before their lawyers were contacted. :D
