Agreed, and I define short term as "less than 1 year".

By 2006, for UCF:

New Oncampus Stadium
O'Leary has his recruits in place / game plan
Very Seasoned O-line (Juniors/Seniors, who already started 2 previous seasons as frosh/soph)
Expect Senior QB Steven Moffett to live up to his initial star billing
Stud WR's
2 Senior RB
Defense has questionable backfield and overall speed, LBs questionable but alot of competition, seasoned Dline (much like Oline) and hopefully some more speed though at DE, w/ Howard moved from LB as 2nd string this year and having year to get comfortable.

By 2006, for Marshall:

Expect their new coach to clean house after the 2005 season, and their QB to get arrested at Dairy Queen for public intoxication (and crossdressing).

Toledo may actually play a C-USA team in a Bowl game! It can't hurt to have some minimal level of knowledge regarding our competitive conference.

Oh, and for MAC "only" readers:

BG - Has no trees.
OU - Has an Airport
NIU - Has a strong running game
Toledo - Has a funny mascot
Ball State - Thinks that Muncie "Rocks"
Buffalo - Gets no respect
Miami - Best team ever, with no student fan base
Directional Universities - rebuilding

Hope this helps.

I think marshall wins more this year..... 06 will be a toss up.. maybe slight atvantage to UCF... long term I think UCF is going to not only get back to where they were 3 to 7 years ago... but do even better... every thing is coming together for us.... first rate facilitys..incl an on campus stadium.. fla recruiting grounds... and a top notch coach.. :)
