As I understand it, only those in the greater Chicago area get channel 640 (I believe it is treated as a 'local programming' station rather than a regional sports channel).

I have the regional sports pack and major league basebell package and was attempting to watch the Tigers/White Sox Friday and today.

I don't live in either MI or IL or even the midwest, for that matter.

This weekend I couldn't get either 640 (Comcast Chicago) or the game on the MLB channels.

The FSN-Detroit feed is blacked out.

It appears that the MLB channel feed is the Comcast Chicago feed and I simply can't get it even though I'm authorized for it and I'm not subject to a blackout.

Anyone have any weird experience with 640 on DirecTV???

Yeah, I live an hour south of Fort Wayne and haven't been able to get any programming on channel 640 since it was added. It was frustrating for some of the b-ball they had and now for Cubs-Sox games. I never had any problems when it was Fox Sports Chicago on channel 639 so that make it even worse.
