How topical.

Here's for the UT fans: Sigmund Freud, founder of psychoanalysis, is born 1856.

Wanna cigar? :D

The Fall of Rome, perhaps, and the beginning of the Dark Ages. The Renaissance, which marked the end of the Dark Ages, did not begin until the 15th century...

The end of the Renaissance?

Oddball--I hope your command of sports events and history is better than your command of world history. But then...

Oh, it is. It's also better than your grasp of a long running joke around here.

I'm not following the analogy. Didn't we just turn the Visigoths away?

And, the Saracens from down South.

I should be good; I'm going to a UCF graduation party tomorrow.

What was that Visigoth leader's name...something like Alaric or Alarik? The attack of Rome was in around 400 AD.

Alaric. He began the attacks in Italy in 400. Rome didn't happen until 410.

I could be off, however. It's early, I'm just starting on my coffee, and I'm too lazy to cross check.
